Immunology

alt text
"Upon arriving at Yale, I first noticed the strong sense of community which permeates academic life. Traditional roles of students and faculty are de-emphasized while relationships as collaborators and colleagues are promoted. The opportunities to work with leading immunologists have made graduate study a great experience for me. While ambitious and cutting-edge research is commonplace, there are many interests to pursue outside of science such as Yale’s student organizations and abundant artistic and cultural resources—not to mention New York and Boston are at your fingertips. I would not change my decision to come here."
Alan Williams
Immunology Track

The Immunology Track is designed to prepare students for independent careers in research and teaching in immunology or related disciplines. The educational program emphasizes interdisciplinary training and collaborative and interactive research, an approach based on the idea that solving difficult problems requires the integration of individuals with common goals but differing expertise. Graduate students are diverse in their interests and ethnic backgrounds, and more than 50 percent are women.
